Hua Hin Beach
The
Hua Hin Beach is the most traditional and
oldest resort in Thailand which combines the
appeal
of a contemporary vacation place
with beautiful
Thai babes
and the fascination and charm of a still very
active port for fishing. And while the
majority of Thai tourist destinations serve
mostly foreign visitors, Hua Hin Beach is a
holiday getaway for both foreigners and
Thais alike.
While the more popular beaches globally are
those found in Phuket and Samui, these spots
were actually discovered only in recent
years and have since its discover undergone
fast and oftentimes destructive commercial
change. Hua Hin Beach, on the other hand,
has been a favorite resort for the Thai
people for more than seventy years.
Discovered by King RamaVII in the early
1920s, the resort is an ideal place to get
away from it all from the buzzing and often
stressful life in nearby Bangkok. The
peaceful and unassuming fishing village was
converted into the Royal resort and as a
result became a popular destination for
Siam's nobles and rich.
The building of a railway from Bangkok to
Hua Hin ensured its popularity and
accessibility with a wider audience of the
Thai nation. But credit for its popularity
is mostly due to the resort's endorsement by
the country’s royalty.
